Overview: The Security Clerk performs clerical and assistant tasks in support of established security programs (e.g., personnel, physical, information, or industrial security). General administrative and/or clerical skills, practical knowledge of specific security objectives, programs, methods, and procedures, and skills, are key to carrying out support tasks related to security administration. This person must have an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to pass a DHS background check. Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Location: SE Washington, DC (must have reliable transportation) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide procedural guidance to facilitate site campus visits, access control, and parking
• Issue all routine and non-routine parking passes and maintain parking pass database
• Process campus visit requests
• Process access control requests
• Schedule appointments for fingerprint, badge and SF-86
• Create Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing E-QIP accounts and assist users as required.
• Reviewing requests for and issuing passes and identification documents • Reviewing specific factual items or conditions on a physical security survey (i.e., whether alarms are active, whether document and storage container user logs are properly filled in, whether visitor logs are in place and used, and similar activities). • Update forms, flyers, and brochures, and distribute schedules, calendars, and notices of events
• Update internal web pages as needed
• Maintain all reception desk binders, calendar, and supplies and assist in replacing as needed.
• Maintain files and records
• Maintain inventory and order office supplies
• Participate and/or coordinate special projects as needed
• Answer telephone, take messages, and forward calls as appropriate.
• Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Practical knowledge of specific security objectives, programs, methods, procedures, and skills
• Experience with supporting established security programs (e.g., personnel, physical, information, or industrial security)
• Experience processing Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (E-QIP) accounts and assist users • Strong organizational skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong people and communication skills Preference in filling this position will be given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act.
