If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for an Engineering Technician to join our team in Albany, OR.

Your Role:

The Engineering Technician will perform electrical and mechanical modifications on existing production, packaging, and material handling equipment. This role will assist with trials on new resin processes per Manufacturing Engineering department requests. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Supply technical assistance to facility in order to maintain and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for complex operations and duties in production.
  • Track equipment performance and adjusts setups, calibrations, and alignments.
  • Confer with other specialists when serious problems occur.
  • Track data associated with production equipment.
  • Suggest revisions for methods of operation, material handling, or equipment layout.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas.
  • Confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Recommend changes to production standards for achieving the best quality within the limits of equipment capacity.
  • Report any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures.
  • Responsible for solving problems requiring more extensive knowledge and experience.

We need you to have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.

Icing on the cake:

  • AAS or trade school diploma in mechanical or electrical.
