Job description

Contact: Cassidy Mercier, MBA Engineer (TS/SCI with Poly) - Multiple Positions Full-Time Reston, VA, USA 1. CONTRACT SCOPE: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) requires engineering analysis, modeling, testing, and software
development services in support of the DTRA Target Assessment Technologies Division (RD-CXA). These services
will support DTRA Research and Development (R&D) activities as well as Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
activities that examine Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) facilities/processes and Underground Facilities
(UGFs) of interest. The DTRA enables the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Government, and international partners to
counter and deter WMD and emerging threats. The DTRA R&D Directorate (RD) is the Agency's focal point for
research, development, test, and evaluation relevant to this mission. The mission of RD is to provide science,
technology and capability development investments that maintain the US military's technological superiority in
countering WMD & asymmetric threats, mitigate the risks of technical surprise and respond to the warfighter's
urgent technical requirements. The overall scope of this task order is to improve US capabilities to find, identify, characterize, analyze,
model, defeat and assess WMD threats and HDBTs world-wide; transition these capabilities to the IC and the
CCMDs; and identify potential new concepts, technologies and techniques to identify vulnerabilities of WMD
threats and HDBTs world-wide. 2. POSITION DUTIES: • Research, data analysis and engineering to support development of physics-based WMD and UGF characterization and response models, to include ANSYS , LS-DYNA , CFX , & FLUENT . • Integration of contractor-developed and government-furnished equipment/ government-furnished information for WMD and UGF characterizations into existing tools; • Software development in support of engineering code and principles, user interface and advanced modeling and visualization tools supporting WMD and UGF characterization with output that can be interfaced with DoD mission planning tools; • Development of data structures and modeling to support migration to domain-specific data models as they are adopted by the weapons effects community, to include target/facility structures, weapon data, equipment and personnel, their vulnerability to varied weapons effects, and weapon-target interaction; • Implementation of solutions that bring DTRA's planning capabilities more effectively into the operational customer's processes and systems, including extensions to support AI and ML applications; and • Computational analysis to support test planning, future model development, and similar efforts. 3. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Master of Science (MS) Degree in Engineering or related field, preferred. BS and Ph.D. positions also available. Experience: 4+ years of engineering or other relevant experience. Security Clearance: TS w/ SCI eligibility (current SSBI), able to pass a full-scope CI poly.
