Job description

We are seeking an ElasticSearch Systems Engineer to support an Agile team in a DevSecOps environment. This role involves providing design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for a large enterprise ElasticSearch deployment in both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments. Responsibilities:
Maintain Elasticsearch clusters in a cloud-based environment across multiple availability zones.
Ensure Elasticsearch clusters run optimally and continuously.
Evaluate and optimize existing Elasticsearch clusters, including configuration parameters, indexing, search, query performance tuning, security, and administration.
Maintain infrastructure to ensure performance and data integrity.
Keep Elasticsearch clusters upgraded as permitted by dependent applications.
Customize clusters to meet various development and business needs.
Optimize indexes for specific business requirements (e.g., logging, enterprise search).
Troubleshoot a range of issues, from unassigned shards to node/cluster failures.
Collaborate with architecture, engineering, development, and operations teams to ensure production scalability and stability.
Ensure the security of Elasticsearch clusters.
Follow and implement Elastic best practices.
Ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting of Elasticsearch environments. Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch Administration.
Direct experience maintaining and integrating Elasticsearch within an operational enterprise information system.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Experience deploying and using Elasticsearch in commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on ODNI systems.
