We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with SME-level expertise in ServiceNow development and Agile project management. Join our fast-paced team dedicated to collecting, exploiting, and disseminating publicly available information to support mission-critical initiatives. Job Description:
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and integrating innovative software solutions and managing cloud-based IT projects. Your responsibilities will include: ServiceNow Development: Utilize your expertise in ServiceNow to develop and customize Service Portal, Service Catalog, Widgets, Record Producers, Flow Designer, and scripting (UI16, UI Policy, Client Script, UI Actions, Script Includes).
Cloud Integration: Design, develop, and integrate software systems into multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and estimate deployment costs.
Technical Project Management: Lead Agile development teams, generate sprint plans, and ensure project deliverables meet schedule and budget commitments.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with security, operations, testing, and other teams to provide technical support and system information.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, manage work tickets, provide weekly status updates, and ensure systems run up-to-date software versions.
Change and Configuration Management: Follow established methodologies, manage COTS product integration, and coordinate task scheduling, problem resolution, and resource requirements.
IT Program Management: Schedule meetings, prepare briefings and presentations, and maintain Project Management Review (PMR) slides. Technologies/Tools: Agile Methodology: Recent experience with managing and delivering projects using Agile methodology.
Team Leadership: Experience leading Agile development teams, including generating sprint plans.
Technical Project Management: Full lifecycle software development project management.
Commitment Management: Meeting schedule and delivery commitments within budget.
Strategic Assessment: Assessing requirements to align processes and systems with emerging technology.
Jira: Using Jira for managing backlogs, portfolios, products, and sprints.
Project Monitoring: Monitoring multiple concurrent and high-visibility projects.
Corrective Actions: Recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Risk Management: Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks.
Communication: Tailoring technical ideas and concepts for diverse audiences in briefings and reports.
Reporting Systems: Working with reporting systems to notify system status and seek deployment approvals.
Design and Deliverables: Developing detailed designs and associated deliverables.
Process Documentation: Documenting existing processes and mapping to new requirements.
Requirement Translation: Translating customer and system requirements into designs.
System Interface Design: Designing system interfaces.
Backend Services: Designing and implementing backend services.
Web Development: Developing with AngularJS, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, Bootstrap, and ActionScript.
ServiceNow Training: Providing platform training in ServiceNow, Flow Designer, and Automated Test Framework.
Internet and Web Protocols: Hands-on experience and troubleshooting with Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, and SSL. Desired Skills: ServiceNow PPM: Recent experience with ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management.
Jira Expertise: Recent experience with Jira.
Relationship Building: Experience building and maintaining constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, contractors, and senior staff. What We Offer:
