Job description

Data Manager - JANUS Research Group Develops and maintains plans, policies, and processes for data management, data governance, security, quality, accessibility, use, and disposal. Creating and enforcing data policies for effective data management to ensure data is handled efficiently, security, and in compliance with organizational standards. Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy. Implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis. Ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage and analysis to include data integrity and security. Assess and establish data sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing. Assist users in effectively utilizing data systems, troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure smooth data operations. Monitor and analyze information and data systems, evaluate performance, and identify area for improvement. Ensure data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards of data against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption. Qualifications: Recommend bachelor's degree in data management or information technology. Requires DoD cyber certification as an IAT level II. Varying experience to DoD Cybersecurity Workforce code 424 (data steward). Location: Quantico, Building 2076/2084 gov facility Clearance: At start must be Secret with TS/SCI eligibility for indoc and access to SCInet.
