We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unified Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable network solutions across various technologies, including voice, wireless, satellite communications (SATCOM), and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in network architecture, operations, and IT systems integration, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver mission-critical solutions. Strong leadership skills and experience interfacing with customers to tailor solutions to their specific needs are key for this position. Responsibilities:
• Network Architecture & Design: Design, implement, and manage scalable network infrastructures, including SIPR/NIPR, NETMOD, and ICANMOD environments, with a focus on secure communication and high availability.
• Voice & Wireless Network Support: Oversee the deployment and management of VoIP systems and wireless networks to ensure seamless and secure communication across the organization.
• SATCOM Operations: Lead the deployment and operation of tactical and strategic satellite communications systems, ensuring secure and reliable global connectivity.
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS or other cloud providers to enhance scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously monitor network performance and promptly address issues, ensuring optimal uptime and system performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and incident reports. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Work closely with clients to understand their network needs and design tailored IT solutions that meet or exceed their operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers. Support team members in their professional development and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on voice, wireless, SATCOM, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure in tactical and enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of IT systems integration, network protocols, and industry best practices.
• Prior experience working in military, defense, or government environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in SIPR/NIPR, NETMOD, ICANMOD, and tactical SATCOM environments.
• Expertise in VoIP systems, wireless network deployment, and satellite communication systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and cloud security best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network security (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• CCNP (Enterprise, Data Center) or equivalent certifications.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
