Special Project Subject Matter Expert - Level II This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance. Cherokee Insights is seeking a Part-Time Special Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support of the Behavioral Threat Analysis Center (BTAC). BTAC consults across a variety of task areas to include Behavioral Psychology, Threat Assessment, Cyber Analysis, Insider Threat, and Management Relations. The Special Project SME will assist in providing subject matter expertise, analysis, training development and presentation, special project support, and case assessments as it relates to Insider Threat. Compensation & Benefits: Pay commensurate with experience. Part time benefits include 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Special Project Subject Matter Expert - Level II Responsibilities Include: Provide consultation regarding behavioral motivations and intentions on potentially unique cases requiring specific knowledge and subject matter expertise not organic to the DITMAC Review and evaluate specific products, such as information papers, assessment reports, analytical findings, presentations, and training material created for and/or adapted to meet the needs of the DITMAC and/or DoD insider threat community Consult on the development of assessment instruments used to identify potential risk behaviors indicative of an insider threat, and provide expert risk-based recommendations on potential steps to mitigate or address risk behaviors Provide consultation based on emerging requirements and trends within DoD or world events Develop and/or provide training on specific areas and skill sets, based on subject matter expertise, to improve knowledge, understanding, and abilities of the DITMAC, DoD, and US Government insider threat community professionals. Training may be requested at a variety of forums, including but not limited to: events, seminars, symposiums, and conferences Develop awareness and informational products to support insider threat awareness Submit informational reports on different aspects of insider threat based on continuous education, research, experience, and other general knowledge. Reports may be based on emerging requirements and trends within the DoD and world events. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Special Project Subject Matter Expert - Level II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Preferred to have a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in threat assessments, behavioral psychology, insider threat or other related positions Preferred to have at least a Bachelors in a related field of study. Must have experience conducting research and/or doing work within the subject-matter area Experience working in interdisciplinary research teams with other social scientists or similar experience working in the public services sector Must be skilled at writing for diverse audiences including policy makers, foundations, government program managers, academics, and the general public Possess excellent public speaking skills with experience in videoconferencing and teleconferencing as well as more traditional presentations Recognized as a leading expert in their area of expertise and/or acknowledged for their success and in-depth understanding in a particular field of endeavor.
