Join The Red Gate Group as an API Strategic Communications Lead supporting the Acquisition Policy & Innovation (API) Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S . Your primary responsibilities will include: Developing and executing a comprehensive strategic communication plan to champion the API's mission and initiatives across various stakeholders, including the DoD's acquisition workforce, U.S. Congress, OSD and Service / Component leadership, Warfighter representatives, industry partners, and the public.
Supporting media engagements and inquiries, coordinating responses to media queries, and identifying subject matter experts to articulate API messaging effectively.
Providing support for API speaking engagements, including preparation of Read-Ahead materials, Talking Points, and ensuring compliance with security and clearance protocols.
Managing API's social media presence on LinkedIn and other platforms, aligning with the strategic communication plan.
Collaborating with government-furnished web content developers to maintain an updated API website that reflects leadership priorities and strategic objectives.
Update and maintain the API Communications Standing Operating Procedures quarterly
You will utilize a suite of tools including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional to execute these responsibilities effectively. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of DoD organizational structure, and the ability to cultivate relationships with subject matter experts across government and industry. Federal or Defense Executive-Level Strategic Communications Expertise
Experience developing executive-level speeches and presentations
Experience preparing a strategic communications plan considering organization objectives and SWOT analyses
Able to effectively brief Flag Officers, General Officers, Senior Executive Service members
At least five years of experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Explorer, Edge, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional Desired Skills & Experience Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, A&S Intranet and SharePoint sites, DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
