Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for driving business growth? Join The Red Gate Group in Chantilly, VA, as a Business Development Manager (BDM), where you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in target Federal marketplaces. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility and dynamic opportunities. Responsibilities: Develop and execute marketing and BD strategy for target accounts, fostering a culture of innovation and capture excellence.
Create account plans, interact with potential customers and industry partners, and qualify opportunities to support pursuit activities.
Grow the opportunity pipeline by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, including existing and adjacent markets/customers.
Partner with Leadership to refine division strategy and shape a balanced portfolio, leading and participating in pursuit of strategic business opportunities.
Drive collaboration across the organization to maximize win probability and bring best-in-class solutions to customers.
Utilize market intelligence and competitor data to position the division for success, participating as a thought leader in bid decisions and gate reviews.
Conduct customer visits, articulate current and emerging customer needs, and actively participate in capture activities.
Develop and submit white papers and RFI responses to proactively shape strategic opportunities, conducting after-action reviews for continuous improvement.
Own and conduct monthly detailed pipeline reviews with Senior leadership, attend tradeshows, and execute customer call plans post-tradeshows. Qualifications
BA/BS degree and 5+ years of demonstrated BD or Capture experience Strategic thinker with long term growth focus
Experience managing budgets of $5M+
Demonstrated experience pursuing and winning work with any of the following: Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), or the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders with DoD Customers
Experience developing overall win strategy, shaping deals with customers, developing team strategies, understanding pricing and assisting in developing winning price
Ability to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategy Desired Skills & Experience Proven track record of successful capture and pipeline management across multiple DoD program offices
Existing business development relationships within the Intelligence Community and/or DoD
Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including Pipedrive or SalesForce
Demonstrated successes in leading $25M+ opportunities from identification through proposal submissions
