Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:

Emphasis is seeking an experienced ops leader who has tech company research / insights operations expertise. Bonus is Qualtrics CX platform / tech experience. Will also manage and oversee both US based FTE resources and offshore vendor team. Very exciting role at the pulse of customer experience insight generation within the core Client Growth Team. Reporting to director based in San Jose.

Overview

Client is actively seeking an exceptional Senior Research Operations Manager with extensive experience in managing research operations at a global scale. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in implementing best-in-class governance practices, optimizing processes, and managing a global scale research and insights operation effectively. With proficiency in agile methodologies, this leader will be charged with delivering on a strategy and roadmap to transform the current operation into a world-class function, focusing on operational efficiencies, cost savings, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. A background in a global insights or research function is highly desired, as it will provide valuable context and experience to drive the organization forward.

The ideal candidate would have strong experience working with technology platforms to deliver research and insights operations such as Qualtrics, Medallia, Forsta or similar.

Key Responsibilities

- Work directly with technology platforms to deliver research and insights operations and CX operations, such as Qualtrics and oversee a dedicated operations team.

- Implement and refine governance practices to achieve global operational excellence within research operations.

- Optimize processes and manage large-scale research operations, ensuring alignment with Client strategic goals and efficient resource utilization.

- Manage and lead integration or migration efforts for core research platforms and tools such as Qualtrics, Forsta, Caplena etc.

- Lead, mentor, and develop onshore and offshore teams and vendor partnerships, promoting a high-performance culture and a commitment to quality.

- Employ agile methodologies to enhance the team s operational agility and adaptability to changing market demands.

- Develop a clear and actionable strategy to elevate the current operations to a world-class level, focusing on achieving significant operational efficiencies and cost reductions.

- Introduce and integrate new technologies and innovative practices that enhance the effectiveness of the research function and contribute to Client competitive edge.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of research operations with the broader organizational objectives.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 12 years of experience in research operations management within a global corporate environment, ideally within a global insights, research or analytics function.

- Demonstrated experience working with the Qualtrics CX platform or similar technologies and processes in the space of CX and insight.

- Demonstrated success in implementing governance practices, process optimization, sprint planning and program management at scale.

- Experience with research and insights platform technologies ie: Qualtrics, Forsta, Medallia & other.

- Proficient in agile methodologies with a track record of leading agile transformations within research teams.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to define and lead the execution of plans to transform operations to a world-class standard, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost savings.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and program management skills, with the capability to drive innovation and continuous improvement across a global operation and team.

- Prior experience managing both onshore and offshore direct reports and vendor teams in a highly matrixed organization.

- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Research Methods, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field is preferred.
