Position Summary

This role is a fast-paced and challenging position that relies on the ability to think and react quickly, and serve clients with the utmost dedication. The payroll specialist is responsible for accurate processing and recording of clients payrolls, as well as provides expert customer service and care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Schedule and manage multiple client payrolls.

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, timely, and compliantly.

Understand proper payroll taxation.

Process correct wage garnishments calculations, child support orders, and tax levies.

Process accurate and timely quarter end and year-end reporting.

Provide Ad Hoc reports to clients.

Work with clients in multiple payroll environments to accomplish time and attendance, payroll processing and payroll reporting.

Resolve client questions in regards to payroll and payroll system.

Manage client projects.

Answer and respond to calls and inquiries from clients.

Coordinate payroll activities from beginning to end with clients.

Deliver the highest level of customer service possible, to include follow up, follow thru and accountability.

Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong phone presence and excellent communication skills

Must have strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and prioritization skills

Proficiency with Windows based applications

Strong work ethic and team player

High degree of professionalism and enthusiasm

Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

High attention to detail

Ability to work flexible hours

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED required

1+ years of customer service experience

Experience working in fast-paced, structured work environment
