Responsibilities

The Engineering Specialist is a part of Envoy's Technical Services department, which provides technical guidance and documentation for a variety of aircraft maintenance activities

The individual in this position supports the operation primarily by manning the Engineering 24/7 Desk and helping to resolve immediate out-of-service aircraft problems, as well as occasionally implementing longer-term solutions to improve future fleet dispatch reliability

Reviews manufacturers' technical service documents for applicability, legality, and expected improvements in reliability and/or safety

Generates company engineering documents with repair or modification instructions for use by maintenance and inspection personnel

Interacts with type certificate holders, equipment suppliers, and external engineering firms to resolve technical problems and obtain necessary approvals

Interacts with company maintenance personnel and other departments as required in support of maintenance operations

Assists other engineering team members with a variety of projects as needed

Qualifications:
Who are we looking for?

Requirements

Possess the legal right to work in the United States

Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English

Willingness to work regular shifts outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a high-stress environment, without sacrificing focus on safety

Ability to travel occasionally on short notice

Fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA)

Possess one of more of the following preferred: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering ; Bachelor's degree in an Aviation Maintenance discipline; Airframe & Powerplant license

Previous work experience in aircraft structural repairs and maintenance preferred
