Responsibilities:
Job Summary

The Admissions Coordinator provides a professional evaluation of AAC services to potential clients and/or family members. This includes accepting inquiries from individuals referred to American Addiction Centers, explaining services and related costs, conducting telephonic intakes, and providing guidance on federal regulations. The Admissions Coordinator also works with existing patients and families and facilitates the continuation of care with existing patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver the highest quality, customer service standards of care and productivity for internal and external clients

Exercise effective use of soft skills, including but not limited to: active listening, questioning techniques, building rapport, voice and para-verbal communication, empathy and motivational interviewing

Effectively communicate and educate on specific features and benefits a facility provides based on the clinical needs of a client

Expectations for ongoing professional development with a focus on clinical knowledge

Provide welcome information for all incoming patients and support persons including but not limited to: facility offerings, information supporting transition through levels of care, and contact information for clinical staff

Communicate with patients and support persons details of financial responsibilities for cost of treatment and any potential third party costs associated with treatment

Communicate with patients and support persons regarding AAC's Brand Promise

Monitor census daily and communicate as necessary with admissions center staff and staff on site regarding admission bed availability

Provide tours of Treatment Center to potential patients, professionals, orientees, referral sources, and family members

Develops and maintains family rapport for patients, family, and staff

Partner with multiple departments to ensure overall achievement in the mission of AAC including but not limited to: Billing, Insurance, Outside Business Development, and Facility staff

Adhere to American Addiction Centers admission guidelines, federal regulations, and company policies and procedures

Conduct follow-up communication with all discharging patients within 48 hours to ensure access to recommended aftercare, offer information on submitting online reviews, and engage recently discharged patients in the AAC Alumni Program

Facilitate weekly Alumni introduction groups with admitted patients

Act as the facility administrator for the Treatment Center AAC Alumni Program app.

Attend conferences and professional events as representative of the Treatment Center

Maintain Quality Assurance data on Patient Outcomes Tracking

Act as liaison to corporate marketing team by providing updates on facility offerings, CEU events, website changes, print material, and quarterly newsletters

Qualifications:
Education/ Experience:

Bachelor degree in business or related field.

Computer proficiency: strong keyboarding skills and the ability to multi-task (type and talk) is required

Strong healthcare/behavioral health (i.e. psychology, nursing, social work, etc.) knowledge and skills preferred

Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrable group presentation and customer service skills

Strong goal achievement history with the ability to strategize, persuade, overcome objections and negotiate in a fast pace environment

Ability to multi-task and achieve metric goals at a high level with or without direct supervision

Passion to play an integral role in the over-arching success of the mission of AAC

Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 30 days of hire

BLS within 30 days

Valid driver license and insurable driving record
