Join our wireline aerial team as an Aerial Foreman and unleash your skills in manual labor, cable placement, and equipment operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Aerial Foreman at ADB, you'll be responsible for:
Proficiently performing aerial installation tasks, such as hand digging, traffic control setup, equipment operations, fiber placement, pole climbing, and material handling on various utility construction sites.
Demonstrating advanced skills in reading prints and maps.
Having at least 3 years of experience in independent aerial cable placement and installation, with a solid understanding of safety regulations and basic operating skills.
Having at least 1 year of experience operating various equipment, such as directional drills, mini excavators, plows, and hydro equipment.
Climbing utility poles or utilizing lifts to install cables according to print designs and maps.
Testing cable placement using aerial equipment and interpreting the results.
Assisting in the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control, in diverse conditions.
Prioritizing safety by adhering to required safety practices throughout all duties.
Maintaining professionalism in communication with customers, subcontractors, and homeowners, addressing any issues or complaints that may arise.
Training other aerial crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, and OSHA requirements.
Loading and unloading materials and equipment at construction yards and jobsites.
Leading by example, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and guiding others on jobsites.
Engaging in on-the-job training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to enhance skills in utility construction and aerial work.
Fostering a hazard-identifying culture by utilizing the pre-task process.
Fulfilling other position duties as required.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
3+ years of experience as a foreman or crew leader in the telecommunications industry, specializing in lineman work.
1+ year of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, such as hydro, directional drills, mini excavators, and plows.
Formalized training and certification as a lineman from an accredited technical school.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CDL License (or the ability to obtain one).
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
