Overview:

The Distinguished Principal is recognized organization-wide as a master and supreme subject matter expert in specific discipline and will be a key influencer in the achievement of strategic alignment and direction. The Distinguished Principal will work with senior leaders across the business to identify initiatives with high impact which drive the organization forward. The person in this role is also expected to be an energetic, dynamic and innovative leader and influencer, acting as an avid promoter of process improvement to enhance productivity and performance of the organization.The Distinguished Principal is a high-level technical individual contributor recognized as an expert both internally and externally. This person will represent company in the broader community and serve as a de-facto ambassador for the organization. It will be important for the Distinguished Principal to maintain a strong network in the community and represent company well.

Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES

Through technical expertise, drive initiatives that have organization-wide impact

Be a trusted and valued partner of senior leaders across the organization by providing subject matter expertise, guidance and support

Through strategic thought-leadership, be a change agent and advocate for new methodologies that enable higher levels of business agility and operational excellence across the organization

Drive the organization's vision, goals and strategies, translating vision to solutions while balancing risk, investment needs and fit for purpose

Promote open communication that welcomes information sharing, seeks input from others and values diverse viewpoints

Nurture a strong internal network by working across the organization to foster a culture of trust, inclusion, engagement and integrity

Drive cross-functional solutions, anticipating and addressing problems ahead of the need by acting as a key influencer across the organization

Perform other duties as assigned

Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Knowledge

Has extensive history of distinguished work and thought leadership achievements including experience leading cross-functional and/or global initiatives

Expert-level knowledge of business acumen and a deep understanding of business implications of decisions

Complete understanding of company values, mission, vision, strategic direction and business operations

Recognized organization-wide as a master in discipline

Skills

Ability to thoroughly understand leaders perspectives, develop consensus and confidently communicate final recommendations and decisions with credibility

Proven relationship management skills and ability to influence others to achieve results by working across the organization, being open to ideas and actively engaging and influencing others

Advanced skills in providing leadership through mentorship, influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork

Exemplifies professional behavior in using logic, analysis and judgment when encountering challenges

Demonstrated ability to map long-term vision for the organization and generate innovative ideas that create value

Ability to effectively maintain and grow strong working relationships and build trust with peers, cross-functional partners and related professional organizations

Proven ability to make smart decisions that have organization-wide impact with a strong sense of urgency to accelerate continuous progression

Education

Master s Degree or Bachelor s Degree plus 2 additional years of related experience required

Experience

14+ years in related function(s) required

7-10 years leading through mentorship in related field required

7-10 years driving thought leadership and innovation across products required

Licenses

Advanced certifications and/or licenses required

Member of and recommendation by accredited association in related field preferred
