Job description
Overview:
Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned fracturing crew. Responsible for treating the job as well as ensuring all members of the fracturing crew are performing their designated job tasks and following all company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
Treats the fracturing job. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating the start of each stage with all fracturing operators running fracturing equipment, calling out changes in stage parameters and ensuring all fracturing personnel running fracturing equipment correctly follow changes, and ensuring that the completion procedure is being followed as closely as possible unless Completion Supervisor indicates otherwise.
Coordinates all crew responsibilities with fracturing crew members. Ensures crew members are where they need to be when they need to be there, sending equipment to/from location, ensuring all rig up/rig down tasks are staffed appropriately and are being done up to the Sabino Fracturing standard and guidelines, and all equipment is being properly maintained and operated.
Conducts pre-job safety meeting (PJSM) prior to each shift that covers key points in the current operation as well as potential hazards and pertinent information. Ensures all job-specific JSAs are being performed prior to the start of each task.
Coaches crew members on various tasks and, when needed, provides corrective actions/discipline when crew members are repeatedly falling short of supervisor's expectations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 11 to 13 employees in their immediate crew the Fracturing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum 7 years of fracturing-specific experience required. Previous experience in supervisory role preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of email and Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid Class C driver's license is required.
Motor vehicle record (MVR) reflecting no convictions for recurring or serious violations or accidents.
Supervisor certification is preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Other Qualifications
Knowledge of entire fracturing process from beginning to end.
