Job description

Accounting Assistant
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience in administrative roles for AP and AR
Strong Excel and Word skills
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Must live in the DFW metroplex and be legally authorized to work in the United States of America without sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ERP systems experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, including routing, distributing, and responding to incoming emails.
Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and keep vendor records up-to-date.
Address and resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
Oversee the Accounts Receivable inbox, handling email routing, distribution, and responses.
Prepare and send customer invoices and account statements.
Track and pursue overdue accounts with proactive collection activities.
Process customer payments and allocate them to the correct accounts.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Manage office supply orders, employee cards, and outgoing mail.
Collect mail from the Post Office two to three times weekly.
Handle tasks related to company vehicles, including registrations and toll tags.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Support finance team projects and handle additional tasks as needed.
Aid in preparing for and conducting both internal and external audits.
