Job description

Lucayan Technology has opening for a Security Training Instructor who develops and conducts training programs for security personnel to ensure compliance with contract requirements and applicable regulations. Provides initial and recurring training on security procedures, weapons qualification, and specialized topics. FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Captain of Guards Location: White Sands Missile Range, NM Essential Functions: Supervises and directs security guard personnel during assigned shift Conducts guard mount and shift briefings Performs quality control checks of guard posts and patrols Reviews and approves security reports and documentation Responds to and directs response to security incidents Ensures proper weapons accountability and control Conducts training and performance evaluations Coordinates with government personnel and emergency responders Maintains communications with dispatch and guard force Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years law enforcement/security experience Demonstrated leadership experience or capability Valid state driver's license with clean driving record U.S. citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance High school diploma or equivalent Minimum age of 21 Ability to speak, read, write and understand English fluently Meet medical and physical requirements per AR 190-56 Ability to qualify with assigned firearms Current first aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days Physical Requirements: Stand/walk for extended periods Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally Push/pull up to 100 pounds occasionally Climb stairs and ladders Drive vehicles for extended periods Work in extreme weather conditions Vision sufficient to operate vehicles, detect security threats Hearing sufficient to respond to verbal commands and radio communications Working Conditions: Both indoor and outdoor work environments Exposure to extreme weather conditions Potential exposure to dangerous situations 24/7 operation requiring flexible scheduling May require extended hours during emergencies
