Operation and Sustainment Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Continental US The Opportunity: CACI's SAFFIRE team is seeking a highly motivated Operation and Sustainment Engineer to help manage critical Intelligence solutions for our NGA customers as part of the SAFFIRE program. You will be a critical element, working closely with users, our user support team and CACI's development teams ensuring that systems supporting the national security of our country remain available to their user base. As our Operations and Sustainment Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to primarily support a user base consisting of geospatial and imagery analysts, SAFFIRE is at the forefront of developing and operating state-of-the-art of Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. The SAFFIRE team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling our users to address challenging realworld problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. The team is deeply passionate about its mission and takes tremendous pride in our work. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries. You will gain valuable cross-functional knowledge and enhance your expertise in both areas. Responsibilities: Manage existing cloud systems.
Perform COTs software deployments, system configuration, system tuning, patching, and system monitoring and troubleshooting
Manage and maintain Linux operating systems ensuring optimal performance and security
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users who have questions or issues related to Geospatial Intelligence software applications, hardware, or other technology-related problems
Work in a team environment to solve complex problems including close collaboration with development engineers to properly diagnose and fix complicated technical issues
Thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy learning new technologies and overcoming new challenges
Respond to incoming customer calls, emails, or tickets in a timely and professional manner
Record and track all customer interactions, issues, and resolutions using Jira or Service Now software and tools
Communicate effectively with customers to gather information and determine the root cause of issues or problems
Continuously improve personal and team technical skills through training and self-study
Be able to support a 24x7 on call rotation Qualifications: Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance with a polygraph (or agreement to take poly when requested)
Typically, a bachelor's degree is required. However, relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
You must have a minimum of seven years' experience
Possess a strong understanding and command of RedHat Linux
Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based technologies
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for this job
Willing to work off hours to support installs and recurring maintenance activities
Experience in analytical work in the Intelligence Community. This work can be in either Imagery Analysis or Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), or a combination of both
Possess an IAT Level II certification, or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date Desired: Experience with GIS software, Structured Object Management (SOM), Flexible Content Management Services (FCMS) and/or WATCHMAN
Experience with Kubernetes or other containerized applications
Experience with Esri software. • Experience with Atlassian suite of software applications

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
