Position Title: Electrical Engineer
Reports To: Controls Engineer Manager

Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer will oversee the design and development of electrical schematics, layouts, and bills of materials. Key responsibilities include preparing electrical diagrams, conducting design calculations, and producing drawing packages that comply with code specifications. This role demands a high level of safety awareness and efficient documentation practices to minimize electrical risks. The ideal candidate will work effectively independently and as part of a team, presenting project progress to department leadership as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, vendor quotes, drawings, and diagrams to create accurate electrical designs.


• Update designs and drawings as required by customer change orders or requests.


• Conduct calculations to support product design specifications.


• Collaborate with engineers and design staff to interpret and implement design concepts.


• Create electrical schematics, layouts, one-line diagrams, and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD.


• Develop safe and effective electrical diagrams and assist in equipment installation when needed.


• Prepare drawing packages that align with electrical code requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical design or engineering technology, or equivalent experience in a similar automation industry role.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.


• Professional demeanor under pressure and adaptability to changing conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.


• Ability to talk, walk, stand, and sit in an office environment.
