Description

The Quality Manager - Textiles Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership:

    • Develop, implement, and manage the quality assurance policies and procedures for the manufacturing facility.
    • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness across the organization.
  • Quality Control Processes:

    • Oversee the inspection and testing processes to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
    • Develop and implement quality control measures at various stages of the production process, including raw material inspection, in-process inspection, and final product testing.
    • Investigate and address product quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, ASTM, etc.).
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of textile industry standards and trends, incorporating best practices into the company's quality management system.
    • Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, ensuring the facility is audit-ready at all times.
  • Supplier Quality Management:

    • Collaborate with the supply chain team to evaluate and qualify suppliers, ensuring incoming materials meet quality standards.
    • Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and performance metrics.
    • Conduct supplier audits and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze quality data, including inspection results, defect rates, and customer feedback, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and action plans for continuous improvement.
    • Monitor and track the cost of quality, including scrap, rework, and warranty costs.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Lead quality improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other methodologies, to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
    • Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and problem-solving activities.
    • Stay abreast of advancements in quality management practices and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer Focus:

    • Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns, working closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve issues promptly.
    • Participate in customer visits and quality reviews, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met.

Profile

The Quality Manager - Textiles Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management within the textiles manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards, methodologies, and tools, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing a quality assurance team.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

Job Offer

The Quality Manager - Textiles Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base Salary of $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience
