Patent Agent
Location: Boston, MA Charlotte, NC Minneapolis, MN Nationwide (Hybrid)

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent to join their Intellectual Property group. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility between office and remote work, with the expectation to be in the office 1-2 days a week. The position is available in the firm's Boston, Charlotte, or Minneapolis offices, with potential for nationwide applicants.

Candidate Profile:

• Engineering or computer science undergraduate degree (mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or related field preferred).


• At least two years of substantive experience in patent drafting and prosecution(link removed)>
  
• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).


• Strong academic credentials, excellent writing, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with attorneys and clients in a variety of industries, such as medical devices and marine industries.


• Manage U.S. and international patent portfolios, drafting and prosecuting patent applications.


• Conduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.


• Work closely with team attorneys to identify solutions and opportunities for clients with diverse intellectual property needs.
