Job description

Collaborate and perform computer systems analysis to develop, maintain, and execute test plans for multiple application projects and improvement initiatives utilizing Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering methodologies. Review, analyze, and apply business requirements and software designs to ensure effective test design. Identify and drive process improvement and testing efforts to ensure delivery of high-quality product. Responsible for hands on execution in creating and maintenance of QM project deliverables. Lead in developing and improving automated test plans and test execution for Web, API and Database layer - automated testing. Build customized automation test frameworks using open-source tools and products. Testing micro-services and database using automated solutions. Code review and managing test automation code using version control systems and CI-CD execution process. Define Quality engineering best practices and standards for preventing production issues. Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. Coordinate QA activities and driving QA tasks to completion. Hands on execution in creating and maintenance of test data, test plans, test automation, and deliverables. Hands on execution in functional, systems integration, regression, end to end testing and risk-based testing approach. Participate in but not limited to Scrum, Stand-up, Planning, Grooming and Retrospective meetings. Gather, analyze, and communicate test results to project team and management.
Five (5) years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in Software Quality Engineering. Experience must include:

Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Testing and evaluating software to ensure compliance with organizational standards and requirements, including at least 3 of the following software: Java, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, Rest-Assured API, BDD with Cucumber Framework, Page Object Model Framework, Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, JMeter, SQL, SIGMA Automation Framework, Kafka offset explorer, Sauce Labs, or Postman
- Experience with planning, designing and executing tests
- Identifying the relationship of bugs to software code
- Agile Methodology
- Leading teams in multiple time zones
- Defining and executing complex system tests
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs or potential problems.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects and best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing testing automation framework and methodology to support agile product development.
- Experience with OOP concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
- Use coding skills to implement test automation, automate daily tasks, and improve overall test coverage.
- Improving test coverage, reviewing and filling gaps in existing automation.
Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, or a directly related field
