Purpose of Role
The Consumer Insights Analyst will be responsible for learning and maintaining our innovation/product concept testing content and developing reports based on testing performance. This teammate will partner cross-functionally with product development (CPO), brand management, and Go To Market team members to provide guidance through the product development and launch process. Additionally, this teammate will collaborate with the Global Athlete Performance team and UA Next Team to capture qualitative field insights (observation and impromptu inquiry) during athlete engagements and curating findings concise reports for various stakeholders across UA. This role will report to our Sr. Manager, Consumer Insights. The role will be Hybrid and located at HQ in Baltimore with travel required to events and partner schools for qualitative observation.
Your Impact
Conduct Primary and leverage Secondary research to provide actionable insights while independently managing most research set-up, with support and guidance from manager on more complex studies
Develop comprehensive research brief, that includes detailed learning areas and action standards, with stakeholder buy-in
Manage different research projects by:
Partnering with key stakeholders to gather key inputs and stim for testing
Supporting discussion guide or questionnaire set up, design and internal reviews and quality checks
Managing timelines of key phases and deliverables
Collaborating with Insights teammates to determine and recommend best research methodology to address business questions
Identify best vendor through appropriate RFP process (multi-vendor proposal review)
Analyze and interpret data providing learnings that will bring value to the business
Collaborate with Insights teammates on presentations to synthesize insights and to identify potential areas of improvement in product design and/or communication
Continue to build on Under Armours understanding of our consumers through observation and field interviews.
Work closely with the Under Armour teammates across functions and categories to turn insights into actions.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Masters degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
Experience in interviewing/observing consumers/athletes desired
Solid analytical skills: the ability to read and interpret data from multiple sources and deliver actionable insights
Experience as an athlete/coach/trainer a plus as direct interaction with athletes of all levels will be a requirement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including Pivot tables) and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of survey tools/platforms (e.g. Qualtrics)
Basic understanding of statistics
General understanding of the UA brand and history or interest in the brand is valuable given this role will be assisting in larger marketing and brand strategy initiatives.

Base Compensation
$66,470.00 - $91,395.70USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
