Job description

Position Summary MAG is currently looking to hire a Subject Matter Expert to support their C5ISR customer located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is contigent upon award currently. This project will support Army Modernization initiatives through protype research, development and testing efforts. The Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) will spearhead the design, development, documentation, and testing of various systems including computing and networking, communications, aircraft avionics, flight control, and ground control stations. Responsibilities encompass the development and analysis of system requirements, creation of system architecture, both preliminary and detailed system design, specification and test procedure formulation, execution of system and subsystem integration and testing, generation of system documentation, and performance of formal system acceptance testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works independently under general guidelines or objectives. Possesses advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management. May support a single systems acquisition program/project or major functional area. Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under his/her management. Establishes objectives and requirements. Assist in the development of budgets as needed. Assist in the development of program/project standards and schedules. Monitors outside resources as requested. Has experience or extensive knowledge with the processes and procedures relative to the functional area. Coordinates, reviews and supervises work of assigned staff as assigned . Reviews/oversees the preparation of all related documentation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Support briefings/presentations, trainings, test events, and Program Reviews as requested. This position may require CONUS/OCONUS travel to support training and test events. Requirements The required skills and knowledge include proven experience providing integration support within an R&D environment with prototype equipment. Subject Matter Expert in Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), Telecommunications, Electronic warfare (EW), on Quick-React programs. Experience with shelter integration. The following list of knowledge and skills may abe applicable to support: Solid understanding and application of Systems Engineering principles Experience generating Systems Engineering Management Plans Proven ability to derive system and subsystem level requirements through decomposition of the customer Capability Production Document Proven ability to perform requirements analysis and verify the validity, traceability, and testability of existing requirements Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining a Requirements Verification Matrix Experience performing functional analysis/allocation Significant experience developing system architectures Experience generating systems engineering management plan Experience developing system and subsystem level requirements through decomposition Experience performing requirements analysis Experience validating the traceability and testability of existing requirements Experience creating requirements verification matrix Experience performing functional analysis/allocation Experience developing system architecture Experience conducting trade studies and analysis for product selection Experience generating artifacts for PDRs, SFRs, and CDRs Experience conducting trade studies and analysis for product selection Experience generating engineering artifacts for project and design reviews, and presenting these during customer meetings Strong written, communication, and oral presentation skills Proven ability to lead test teams to facilitate systems integration, verification, and test Self-starter with a desire to solve problems Team player with a desire to learn Education and Experience High School Diploma 10 to 30 years technical experience. 10 years military experience. Relevant expereince includes but not limited to engineering electronic, information technology, weapons, and/or radio frequency systems Clearance Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance to start and if needed, obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance. Desired Requirements Experience supporting Department of Defense R&D Projects and/or practical experience with DoD C5ISR systems and equipment. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline Other Qualifications Software Development and Cyber Security Certifications will be considered but not required at this time. Project Management Certifications will be considered but not required at this time. Valid Passport.
