Overview

Summary:

The Fleet Technology Specialist will aid in the implementation and support of the various mobile devices used in our fleet. This position will provide Level 1 and 2 support for all mobile technologies at Ozinga. The Fleet Technology Specialist will coordinate work with others within Ozinga's IT Department to ensure all mobile devices are working correctly throughout the organization. This position will be a liaison between the numerous vendors and our internal teams.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Information Technology Responsibilities:

  • Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for all mobile devices, including Digital Fleet+
  • Coordinate procurement of mobile devices and work with IT Department to ensure all standards and processes are followed
  • Provide setup and support to drivers and technicians on Fleet related devices
  • Assist in creating, maintaining and rollout procedures and standards for all systems we install
  • Work with the team to create documentation for the systems
  • Keep current with emerging technologies and how they can benefit our environment
  • Provide ad-hoc support as required
  • Document work within Autotask and build support knowledgebase
  • Provide training to fleet mechanics on installation and troubleshooting of system
  • Ability to work with various MDM solutions such as Sure lock or MaaS360
  • Create 'How To' training material via documentation
  • Maintain accurate inventory or all mobile devices and where they are deployed
  • Create reports that give clear communication and transparency to divisions/regions on all Fleet related devices and services
  • Perform in-field meetings with drivers and technicians on issues and general feedback

  • Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities:

  • Provide communication to company whenever there are major issues/outages
  • Required to maintain excellent customer rapport
  • Maintain excellent communication with users, staff and management on deadlines and status
  • Deliver, configure, install and integrate all solutions, to the user's satisfaction according to the project plan
  • Coordinate plan with key Business Area Managers to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction
  • Provide project wrap up meetings with business areas to ensure satisfaction and look for opportunities to further enhance the relationship
  • Follow through with business areas to ensure all expectations have been met.
  • Deliver Quality to the users

  • Time Management Responsibilities:

  • Timely preparation of monthly status reports
  • Utilize time efficiently, maintain costs by reducing overtime whenever possible and avoid "Over Committing"

  • Global Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs

  • Qualifications:


    Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of Samsung, Apple, Android and iOS technologies
  • Experience supporting GPS devices, installation of mobile solutions in vehicles and mobile device management solutions like Sure lock and MaaS360.
  • Prior experience working with help desk solutions like Autotask

  • Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiencies with the Microsoft suite of products
  • Hardware trouble shooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be detail oriented, self-motivated, and be a team player
  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Working Conditions:

  • Operates in both a professional office environment as well as an outdoor environment
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, dirt and outside weather conditions
  • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
