Description:
This position assists with systemwide compliance initiatives such as the conflict of interest program, reporting, trends analysis, as well as policy and procedure management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports day-to-day operations of the Compliance Program.

Works to ensure timely resolution of compliance issues and facilitates communication of compliance-related matters.

Assists in the formulation, review, and revision of compliance policies and procedures, as directed.

Assists with enterprise compliance risk assessment coordination.

Assists with the investigation of compliance matters reported via the Emory Trust Line and the EHC Compliance Office. Assists with maintaining regular and consistent governance-level reporting and metrics for the EHC Compliance Office, including but not limited to dashboards, board reporting, weekly, monthly, and annual compliance & ethics reporting.

Works with Senior Compliance and Privacy Office leadership as well as other key clinical and operational leaders on compliance investigations, issues, and matters.

Supports the conflict of interest process.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

Experience working as a healthcare compliance professional.

Knowledge of state and federal healthcare compliance rules, regulations, & laws.

Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, information technology, and analytical skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities requirements:

Ability to work on a team and work independently, when needed.

Ability to adjust to changing work demands and multi-task.

Thorough attention to detail and strong, problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience requirements:

Bachelors degree required.

Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a healthcare organization.

Masters (MA or MS) or Juris Doctorate (JD) degree may be considered in lieu of certifications and work experience. Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.

Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, Communicable diseases, Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
