Description:
This position is responsible for assisting with the execution of privacy work plans, periodic privacy risk assessments, and conducting ongoing privacy monitoring activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. In addition, this position assists in ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to EHCs HIPAA privacy policies/procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs privacy risk assessments and assists with recommendations.
Assists with privacy breach risk assessments, documentation, mitigation, and notification activities.
Maintains a privacy log and documentation.
Assists with the response and investigation of privacy-related issues reported via the Emory Trust Line and to the EHC Compliance Team.
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelors degree required.
Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related academic certification required.
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a healthcare organization Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Ability to learn project management methodologies, tools, and strategies.
Skilled in oral and written communications.
Ability to work as team player to accomplish project goals.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to use Microsoft office suite programs for daily work and data input and retrieval.
Ability to adjust to changing work demands necessitated by fluctuations in workload or program requirements.
