Job description

AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Amazon Redshift. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the integration of Redshift with various AWS services to support our data warehousing needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, cloud architectures, and experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions. The candidate will also contribute to the day-to-day cloud support tasks of the team.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and manage Redshift data warehouses to support business intelligence (BI) and reporting needs

Integrate Redshift with other AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Glue, and Lambda

Optimize database design and performance for big data processing

Ensure data security, compliance, and maintain data integrity across all platforms

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies

Provide technical guidance and support to other team members

Required Experience:

5 years' experience but if very technical/skilled would consider under 5 years

Required Skills:

All-round understanding of AWS Ecosystem and the ability to propose solutions to teams with little AWS knowledge.

Hands on experience with AWS Redshift, with an understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL.

Strong experience of implementing disaster recovery strategies for AWS solutions
