Job description
Overview:
Under the supervision of the Building Manager, the incumbent either personally or through subordinates is responsible for the coordination of general building security, safety, maintenance and welfare of occupants. Additionally they are responsible for overseeing the day to day activities in the building which includes cleaning, waste disposal, facilities repairs, general food and beverage shared stations for all Support Service Buildings.
Responsibilities:
Adheres to Seminole Hard Rock Support Services Policies and Procedures
Maintains the organization's mission, vision, and values; and upholds and operates in accordance with statutes, regulations, and corporate visual identity on documents, websites, and social media.
Responsible for interacting with internal customer which may include property visits on occasion.
Coordinates procedures with departments
Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
Oversee the safety of occupants by ensuring building is free of hazard
Coordinate room arrangement during preparations for a conference, meetings, training, or other events
Submit recommendations and guidance on strategies and steps to take to ensure the smooth running of a building property.
Ensure shared food and beverage stations throughout all Support Services Buildings are maintained, cleaned, stocked, on a scheduled basis
Ensure all housekeeping and public area supply inventory levels are maintained and all areas throughout the support buildings, call center, memo aviation and warehouse are adequately supplied and maintained. Supplies would include; facial tissue, toilet tissue, hand soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
Ensure all food and beverage needs are met for all meetings, banquets, etc. to include ordering, receiving, and setting out.
Work closely with Human Resources and other support departments to ensure monthly meetings, celebrations, etc. are provided for to include all team members as well as supplies needed to accommodate.
Ensure all vacation décor is adequately placed and as per schedule throughout all buildings.
Ensure all common area communication pieces (posters, brochures, etc.) are current and appropriate in their placement for ease of visibility to all team members
Work closely with all support departments within all support building; working closely with team members on all levels. Maintain a professional appropriate demeanor at all times
Maintain mail room operations in and out bound. Sort & deliver mail and packages to departments.
Order all supplies and food items for MMS for all building. Enter items received in MMS. Keep call center stocked with all items.
Monthly check of all fire extinguishers and exit signs all SS buildings.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software systems.
Strong understanding of the hospitality / gaming industry
Sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making skills in directing administrative tasks, using discretion when necessary, understanding the potential impact on the department.
Ability to communicate effectively with external contacts and all levels of team members / management.
Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
Experience:
High school education or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a Construction, Development type role as well as gaming / hospitality experience, undergraduate degree.
Work Environment:
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be in operating areas. In these areas, you may be exposed to environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
