Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our client's finance team. In this high-impact role, you'll lead the company's financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning efforts. As the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will provide valuable insights to senior management and play a crucial role in shaping strategic financial decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who excels at both the technical and strategic aspects of FP&A. You'll have the chance to lead a small team and work closely with executives to drive business performance.

Location: Hartford, CT on site
Compensation: Starting at $140K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Develop and analyze financial models to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing analysis and insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and market trends as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Oversee a small team, ensuring accuracy in reporting and analysis.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior executives.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
