Position: Global Network Engineer ()
Security Clearance Required: Secret
Pay Rate Range: $130-150k/year
Duration: long term contract
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Additional Details: IAT Level II Cert Required
Day to Day Responsibilities: - Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- At a minimum, the candidate would have working knowledge of spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, and ip subnetting.
- Demonstrated experience for the design and execution of network engineering configuration changes and documentation in a complex IT environment.
Required Skills and Experience: - Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and Wireshark.
- Familiarity with SIPRNet, MDACNet, or other DOD networks. - Certifications such as COMPTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP. - Understanding of the project lifecycle, related processes, and traditional systems engineering skills. - Experience in reviewing work products produced by a team of engineers for quality, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and policies.
