Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the performance, security, and reliability of Oracle databases that support critical business applications. If you're an Oracle expert with a passion for problem-solving and performance optimization, this position offers an exciting opportunity to have a meaningful impact on mission-critical operations. What You'll Do: •Administer and maintain Oracle database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management. •Monitor and optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning strategies for improved throughput and responsiveness. •Implement robust security measures, such as user access controls, data encryption, and auditing mechanisms to ensure database integrity. •Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to support future growth and evolving business requirements. •Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data availability. •Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database elements for performance improvements. •Stay current with emerging Oracle technologies and best practices, recommending upgrades and innovations to enhance system performance. •Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to streamline operations. What You Bring: •Bachelor's degree (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree). •12+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role. •Active Secret Clearance (required due to contract). •Extensive experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and patching. •Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting geographically diverse teams. Desired: •Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications in Oracle Database Administration, RAC, or Grid Infrastructure. •knowledge of Oracle Exadata •Proven expertise in enterprise-level Oracle environments, with strong knowledge of and RAC/Grid . •Knowledge of Python or similar programming languages to support database automation and scripting. Location: •Must reside near Colorado Springs, CO, with the ability to work on-site as needed.
