Compensation:
Salary Range: $23.40 - $32.58 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities:
Position Overview:

The Payroll Assistant supports the payroll team in handling the Health System's in-house payroll processing. Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Lead, this role is responsible for assisting with daily payroll administration and serving as a backup for the full payroll process. The Payroll Assistant is expected to help with payroll processing, reporting and researching payroll inquiries, while ensuring the confidentiality of payroll information and adherence ot federal and state regulations.

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field

Three (3) months of customer service experience

Excellent data entry, data cleaning and math skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Intermediate familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook or similar software applications

Commitment to providing exceptional service to employees

Preferred:

Healthcare experience

One (1) year of in-house payroll processing experience

Experience working in Kronos
