Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Interviewing and screening patients for admission to UCI medical facilities.

Insurance verification and pre-authorizations.

Maintaining medical records and patient demographics.

Patient scheduling and re-scheduling.

Answering patient phone calls; handling multi-line calls.

Qualifications:

Required:

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Data entry experience.

Experience using electronic medical records (EMS) systems.

Experience working in customer service environments.

1-3 years One year of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field.

Preferred:

Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more.

Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Knowledge of healthcare insurances.

Experience with billing.
