Responsibilities:
Job Description
Our Duty Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airport, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for passengers, staff, and airline partners. This position involves managing operational issues, responding to emergencies, and making real-time decisions to maintain operational flow and safety. Our Duty Manager liaises with various departments, including security, customer service, and ground handling, to coordinate efforts and address any challenges that arise. Also, you are responsible for monitoring compliance with airport regulations and standards, providing leadership and guidance to staff, and ensuring a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A DUTY MANAGER
You like working as a team, toward a common goal
Oversee day-to-day airport operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient and safe procedures
Coordinate with various departments, including security, customer service, and maintenance, for seamless operations
Respond to and manage operational emergencies and unusual situations
Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies
Monitor passenger flow and terminal activities, implementing adjustments for optimal service delivery
Address and resolve customer complaints and operational issues in a timely manner
Supervise, guide, and support operational staff, providing leadership and direction
Communicate effectively with airline representatives, ground handlers, and airport authorities
You have a great attention to detail
You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
Strong customer service skills
Like to build long term relationships with your customers
Physical activity may include:Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 years old
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
5 Years transportation/aviation operations experience
Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
Ability to pass a drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
