Job description

Performance Trailers, founded in 1991, has established a reputation as a leader in the design and construction of custom trailers used to carry everything from racing cars to portable corporate displays. The company has designed trailers for such companies as Ford Motor Co., General Motors, Nissan, and Toyota, which use the trailers to transport multimillion-dollar concept cars to trade shows.

We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as an Electrician who will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems; ensuring work is delivered safely and on time. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Work performed will be on customized trailers built from ground up. Hours are 7:00 am 3:30 pm, Monday Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring

Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components

Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards

Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning

Calibrate equipment to provided specifications

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components

Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

Analyze the quality and effectiveness of the work performed

Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize production

Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure employees follow safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe manner

Observe all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use equipment

Maintain open communication with team members and leadership

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

One (1) or more years of industrial electrical experience

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Basic reading and writing skills

Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards

Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities

Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents, electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Knowledge of construction principals

Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, team environment

Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines

Demonstrate the ability to safely operate tools and equipment

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

Ability to lift and move up to lbs

Physical stamina required for position and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions heat, cold, etc.
