We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to work with the Product Team to perform quality assurance and validation testing for all software enhancements and developments made in our clinical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience testing software applications and documenting inconsistencies in expected behavior of software solutions. The QA Analyst will also be responsible for providing feedback to the Product Team and communicating any unexpected behavior in the applications. This role will report to the Manager of Clinical Applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes specified tests in software applications by following guided test plans
  • Works with Product team to ensure all test cases are represented in test plans
  • Documents results of all validation testing performed on software application solutions
  • Reports observations and "bugs" in software application solutions
  • Develops strategies for test execution
  • Reviews functional specifications and assists in evaluating test approach, resources needed, and time required to fully test requirements
  • Understands business needs addressed by software solutions
  • Attends daily Product Team huddles
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed by the applications.
  • Performs all other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Fundamental knowledge of computer systems and their use
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to articulate complex problems concisely and accurately
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the group growth and expansion
  • Experience with athenaOne and/or Salesforce is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.

  • 3+ years' experience in application testing
  • Experience working with stakeholders and users to understand needs and deliver solutions
  • Experience working with analysts or vendors to understand capabilities and limitations of specific healthcare applications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, healthcare informatics, business, healthcare administration, or a similar field
