Senior Scrum Master/Business Analyst (P&C domain) LocationL: Richmond, VA (onsite) Duration: 12 months Position type: W2 contract Mandatory skills: Scrum Master/Business Analyst with experience in Azure DO, Jira, Confluence, and claims experience. Technical Skills: 1. Azure (DO): o Proficiency in using Azure Boards for planning, tracking, and discussing work across teams. 2. Jira: o Experience in configuring and managing Jira projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and schemes. o Ability to create and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters for team visibility. o Competence in integrating Jira with other tools and plugins to enhance project management capabilities. 3. Confluence: o Skilled in creating and organizing Confluence spaces and pages to serve as a knowledge base for project documentation and collaboration. o Experience in using Confluence for requirements gathering, meeting notes, product documentation, and collaborative work. Industry Knowledge: 1. Property and Casualty Insurance: o In-depth understanding of P&C insurance concepts, products, and market trends. o Knowledge of underwriting, claims processing, policy administration, and regulatory compliance. o Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ACORD. Scrum and Agile Practices: 1. Scrum Mastery: o Strong grasp of Scrum principles, practices, and theory. o Experience facilitating Scrum events (sprints, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, etc. o Ability to coach teams and the organization on Scrum adoption. 2. Business Analysis: o Proficient in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management. o Skill in translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria. o Experience with backlog grooming, prioritization, and roadmap planning. Soft Skills: 1. Leadership and Communication: o Strong leadership skills to guide and facilitate the team through the Agile process. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members. 2. Problem-Solving: o Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and provide pragmatic solutions. 3. Collaboration and Facilitation: o Ability to facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. o Collaborative spirit to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Certifications (optional but beneficial): Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) or Atlassian products. Experience: Demonstrable experience working as a Scrum Master or Business Analyst in the claims will added advantage. Previous experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment.
