As Facility Security Officer (FSO), you'll be passionate about security related activities including oversight and implementation of corporate security systems and procedures as well as SCIF accreditations and facility clearances. What you'll do: You will develop and administer security programs and SOPs for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment while maintaining all aspects of security clearance and compliance You will prepare materials outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, marking, and storing documents/hardware, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials You will process initial investigations and periodic reinvestigation for personnel clearances, clearance transfers, and digital fingerprinting for initial and upgrade investigations for personnel clearances You will be responsible for all DISS activities including a strong knowledge of DISS adjudication system, visit certs, validating clearances and training requirements along with other duties as may be required You will provide security support to Human Resources, Contracts, Internal IT Operations and Proposal teams You will provide on-site support for all security actions and serve as the liaison with US Government counterparts, conduct security briefings and debriefings, monitor classified controlled areas, and perform periodic self-inspections. You will administer Closed and Restricted Areas and classified data storage, performing all compliance activities and monitoring in accordance with standards You will maintain and continuously improve records, databases, Security Practice & Procedures (SPP) and forms for documentation purposes You will provide and document employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents What you'll need to succeed: Active Top-Secret Security Clearance Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification Two (2) + years of security experience Five (5) + years as an AFSO or FSO Ability to be onsite in Reston, VA 4 days/week Experience working with and maintain a thorough knowledge of Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), (NBIS), and NISPOM Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information and Classified information Actively manage security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other government security regulations Like we said, we are big fans of our people.
