We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: Position contingent on contract award VAXCOM is seeking a security monitor for an active construction project in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience in security monitoring and have a fully adjudicated TS/SCI security clearance. Responsibilities: • Monitor and escort uncleared persons at the facility • Provide verbal and written reports regarding pertinent safety, security, facility, or personnel issues/incidents • Maintain visual contact and proper line of sight with uncleared personnel at all times • Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel • Provide excellent customer service to the client and all visitors • Remain alert and awake at all times to provide appropriate security monitoring of escorted individuals • Work around active construction areas and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required • Work in industrial locations (mechanical and electrical rooms, etc) • Properly sanitize areas prior to escorting uncleared personnel into designated work areas • Walk long distances, climb stairs (including stepladders, etc.), sit/stand for long periods of time • Wear appropriate work attire which may include a company provided dress uniform. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested Minimum Qualifications • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years ; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete all tasks • Strong attention to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner • Must have excellent communication skills and be very customer service focused Preferred Qualifications • Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI is required • Must have a valid driver's license • Must be a US Citizen • A minimum of a HS diploma or GED • 1+ year security experience • Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time • Local Candidates Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret SCI This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
