Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Budget and Cost Analyst with a current/active DOD Secret Security clearance to support TGS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will assist the budget office with the management, monitoring, and execution of the organization's budget. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Evaluating budget proposals and funding requests. Collaborating with project managers to develop a budget and manage through execution. Conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine value. Reviewing funding requests and make recommendations to the Government. Performing analysis on budget to develop leadership insights and presenting results Reviewing budget recommendations with management. Tracking, monitoring, and documenting funding move requests for the Office of the CDAO through Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs). Monitoring spending to ensure it remains within budget. Estimating and forecasting future financial needs. Requirements: Current/Active DoD Secret-level security clearance Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or field 10+ Years financial planning and analysis experience 4+ years of experience as part of a Program/Budget Execution office, preferably within DoD Requires deep experience creating and reviewing MIPRs as well as working within the OSD staff to get them approved Working knowledge of DAI Knowledge of the DoD Budget Execution process Significant financial analysis experience Highly analytical mindset Must be a self-starter that can recognize needs and act with little to no guidance. Highly motivated professional capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities Excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage. Strong organizational management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities. Advanced MS Word skills; proficient PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook application skills. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Highly Desired: Prior Federal government, professional services or Federal consulting experience Experience performing on projects of similar size and scope Education: Bachelor's degree Security Pre-Requisite: To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET security clearance and be eligible to be upgraded to a TOP SECRET/SCI. Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
