Software Budget Analyst Job Responsibilities: Collaborates with executives and project managers to develop budgets Evaluates and approves or rejects budget proposals and funding requests. Defends budget recommendations and developing a final budgetary agreement with management. Monitors spending to ensure it remains within budget. Estimates and forecasts future financial need and supports programs with financial analytics. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Prepares estimates to complete (ETC) and spend plans, audits subcontractor invoices, and provides briefings and related documentation and reports for financial assessments. Forecasts and tracks financial results throughout the year to meet budget projections. Organizes budget templates and data in a clear and intuitive manner. Helps identify financial or operating risks associated with the execution of the contract or project. Provides project summary status reports to management as required or requested. Manage and oversee the CIO's IT inventory (software assets). Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records. Coordinate with various departments to track and manage software assets throughout their lifecycle. Maintain an up-to-date inventory database and ensure data integrity. Provide detailed reports on inventory status, usage, and trends to management. Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records. Collaborate with the procurement team to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts. Implement and maintain inventory management software and tools. Manage inventory-related documentation and records. Ability to optimize software usage license compliance to minimize costs (e.g., normalization, reconciliation). Ability to maintain databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties (e.g., reporting and dashboards). Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize our license usage based on key license drivers (headcount, volume)

This position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications Level 3: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 5 years of related experience Experience in IT inventory management or a similar role. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. Proficiency in inventory management software and tools. Knowledge of IT hardware and software assets. Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation. Strong project management skills. Experience with budgeting and forecasting for IT inventory needs. US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
Basic Qualifications Level 4: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 9 years of related experience Experience in IT inventory management or a similar role. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. Proficiency in inventory management software and tools. Knowledge of IT hardware and software assets. Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation. Strong project management skills. Experience with budgeting and forecasting for IT inventory needs. US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance. Salary Range 2: $114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
