The Grant Accounting Manager oversees post-award grant accounting operations and the management of restricted funds. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulations set by granting entities.

Grant Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide daily guidance and support to the grant accounting team.
• Review and approve accounting transactions and ensure timely reporting.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and keep the team informed on best practices.
• Coordinate financial information for grants, including budgeting, reporting, and audits.
• Set up accounts and manage financial systems for grants.
• Oversee billing, fund drawdowns, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate payroll redistributions, cost-sharing tracking, and compliance with grant guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, federal guidelines, and grantor financial requirements.
• Provide training on grant processes, budget management, and reporting.
• Maintain and update financial systems for grant accounting.
• Implement quality control measures and evaluate system performance.
• Document procedures for the grants accounting area to ensure consistent and accurate operations.

Grant Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of grant accounting experience with knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with grant management software and reporting systems.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, non-profit/governmental accounting, and financial document analysis.

Salary: up to $90,000.00, depending on experience.
Working Model: 100% in office in San Antonio, TX
