Job description

United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. USS is currently seeking individuals to support the DC2HS contract as a Software Engineer (Cyber Security). The Software Engineer (Cyber Security) shall maintain security compliance for all DC2HS applications and software by deploying tools and technologies that enhance automated reporting capabilities that can provide a centralized repository for enterprise-wide compliance audit trails. The Software Engineer (Cyber Security) shall define configuration and software baseline requirements. Respond to all vulnerabilities, including Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), Executive Orders (EXORS), Operation Orders (OPORDs), and Communications Task Orders (CTOs) for infrastructure and tracking of patches in an enterprise environment. This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award
All candidates MUST have a current Secret Clearance Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting
- Notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel. Specific Experience and Certifications: Specific Experience:
- Three (3) years of cyber security focused experience in support of systems engineering or systems administration within an enterprise hosting environment in the cloud in support of multiple interconnected systems and enterprise managed services. Experience may be achieved simultaneously Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), or other certifications relevant to the role and as approved by the COR. Depending on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II or III (position-based) Minimum Experience:
- Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area
