Job description

United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. USS is currently seeking individuals to support the DC2HS contract as a Software Engineer (Cloud). As a Software Engineer (Cloud), you will be involved with investigating apparent solutions to problems relating to DC2HS hosting services such as infrastructure, enterprise managed services, and cloud technologies, and compare these solutions to the technical requirements determined under that task within this PWS. Please note:
- This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award
- All candidates MUST have a current Secret Clearance Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Individual shall have experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
- Individual shall have notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel. Specific Experience and Certifications: Specific Experience:
-Three (3) years of technical experience in support of systems engineering or systems administration within an enterprise hosting environment in the cloud in support of multiple interconnected systems and enterprise-managed services. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- IEEE CS Software Development Professional or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as:
- Microsoft role-based certifications
- Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
- Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP) role-based certifications
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
- Citrix Certified Administrator
- Cloud certifications such as:
- AWS Architect, Developer, and SysOps Professional
- Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification or other certifications relevant to the role and as approved by the COR
- Depending on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II or III (position-based) Minimum Experience:
