Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Lead to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support the company's financial health. This role requires a CPA designation and highly prefers candidates with experience from a Big 4 accounting firm.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of quarterly and annual financial reports.

  • Coordinate and manage the financial reporting process, including consolidations, eliminations, and reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.

  • Develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team and other departments.

  • Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising on potential impacts.

  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and other financial analyses.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reporting processes and systems.

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.



Qualifications



  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or accounting.

  • Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting processes and deliver high-quality results.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.



Compensation


  • $90 - $125k dependent on education and experience
