Location: Sanford, North Carolina

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 + $15,000 Signing Bonus

Relocation: Partial assistance available

Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Director of Labor & Delivery to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Labor & Delivery unit, including five delivery rooms, 15 postpartum beds, and a one-bed Level 2 nursery (NICU). If you are an experienced leader with a strong background in obstetrics, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact.

Job Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit.

- Ensure staffing levels, supplies, and equipment are maintained to meet patient needs.

- Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff and manage annual competency completion.

- Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and senior leadership to communicate key information and drive strategic goals.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Director level.

Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact state.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree.

Familiarity with the midwifery model and community hospitals.

Experience working in a Level 2 nursery/NICU or above.
