About the job

The Global Strategic Pricing and Offering Management team is looking for a Sr. Associate Software Pricing Analyst to guide monetization and pricing strategy across SAS portfolio to leverage pricing as a strategic business lever. Our team operating collaboratively at the intersection of Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Strategy, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance we support and advise executive management on all dimensions of our pricing and monetization strategy across all products and services globally. Candidates will be able to propose pricing and go-to-market strategies that align to corporate strategy and objectives, customer expectations, and financial goals. This will include strategic pricing research methodologies, price sensitivity analysis, and an ability to balance between optimizing for different outcomes.

As a Sr. Associate, Software Pricing Analyst you will:

Support the pricing and packaging for the SAS product portfolio

Assist in the analysis and collecting of data to understand the trade-offs around optimizing for customer acquisition, expansion, and retention

Help conduct market and competitive research

Learn pricing best practices and concepts to enable your success to drive profitable revenue

Participate in pricing and packaging the SAS portfolio alongside other pricing team members

Work with senior team members to create new and innovative pricing strategies to support changing business climates

Consolidate information to enable regular pricing reviews to ensure execution of the pricing strategy aligns with SAS expectations, is in support our strategic and financial goals, and evaluates whether it still meets current or future market conditions

Work closely with Finance to ensure all pricing and licensing models meet revenue recognition standards

Ensure documentation of pricing decisions to support compliance and audit-readiness

Required Qualifications

2+ years of related work experience with strong financial acumen or mathematical

Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

SaaS and/or software pricing strategy experience or transferable skills from adjacent backgrounds

Ability to analyze large amounts of data to estimate profitability and the customer impact of pricing recommendations

Experience with analytical tools such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, R and Python, Alteryx a plus

Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
